Simple, complicated, mysterious, sleep, night, death, stylish,
there are really a million amazing words I could use to describe
the colour (or shade) black. It is such a versatile colour and it
always tends to look great in clothing, so I thought why not
dedicate this saturday random snaps to black. I have so many
images saved with a beautiful use of black so why not share
them :) I also thought it was also somewhat of an appropriate
colour to mourn the receent loss of beautiful model Daul Kim.
And here is the rest of it.

FASHION/ Ellery A Tribute to Dr. Strange 2010
Well she has done it again. One of my favourite Australian designers
Kym Ellery has just released the latest campaign for her Winter
collection for her label Ellery. The name of the new collection 'A
Tribute to Dr. Strange' is more then a fitting description for this
collection, with experimental structures, leather, ostrich feathers,
sequined rib designs and a touch of leather. It seems as though
Ellery could not put a foot wrong, every collection is full of must
have beautiful pieces.

FASHION/ Saturday Random Snaps
I am a child of the eighties, but no matter how much I try to
deny my childhood fashion faux pas, I still can't go past my
love for denim. Give me a good denim jacket, dress or pair of
jeans any day and I'll have amazing flashbacks to 90210 and...
Rosanne? Well despite the mistakes we have possibly made
with denim in the past, these days we do a pretty good job of
making it look good (for now anyway). The following pictures
are a collection of my favourite denim fashion shoots, to
inspire some denim love that hides within all our hearts ;)
And here is the rest of it.

STYLE/ My Favourite Things
I haven't written a 'my favourite things' post for a while now,
I'm not sure how it got away from me, its always exciting to
share finds with others. This week, my favourite things include
beautiful 1970s headpieces, glittery bird accessories and some
beautiful pieces of clothing. You'll have to click on to see what
I've chosen for this week :)
And here is the rest of it.
Ok so it could be that I have a kitten, or it could just be that I am in love with the unusual, but this ring by jewellery designer Matina Amanita has got me hooked. The quirky theme of a dead cat in armor is an odd one I admit, but still it hold a bit of a story, which I find a lot of jewellery lacks. The look of this ring is big, bright, chunky and adorable, Im sure it would suit almost any type of hand.

All the celebrities have been wearing them, but of course that would not sway my attention. These feathered headbands are not only pretty and look great, they also have this mystical 1970s feel that I really draws me to them. Whether you need to subtly dress up your work outfit or dress up a party dress, I really can't go past these beautiful feathered head pieces.

These shoes by young Australian designer Dion Lee, are everything that I adore in a shoe. They are chunky, strappy, high, platform and a shoe I could imagine in a 1980s pop videoclip. I have a very rare shoe fetish (I know that's hard to believe), but that just means, when I see a shoe I love, I really love and obsess over it. I believe this may just be my new shoes addiction

What could be better then an outfit that not only works for winter as a jumper, but also works in summer as a dress, well maybe this would, something that works for both seasons and has a great design and colour combination. Whether it is matched with stockings, bare legs or leggings, this tunic is modern, fun and cool and sure to make you feel amazing.

Owls, crystals, cute designs, what else could I ever want in a bag? If I had seen this bag when I was a child, Im sure my future career would have been either something to do with birds or bag design, but now I am older, I will just dream of maybe owning this three thousand pound bag... *sigh*

JEWELLERY/ D_Luxe
One of my best friends is studying jewellery design at the
moment, visiting her behind the scenes with all the machines,
makes me really appreciate the delicate detail and work that
gets put in to creating one amazing piece of jewellery. D_Luxe
is a brand hailing from New Zealand, their creations are
modern, interesting, intricate, mystical and really darn cool.
Their latest collection was inspired by outer space, diagrams as
well as ancient and mathematical drawings. In this post are
some of my favourite pieces from the new collection, including
a lot of beautiful designs that incorporate special stones.
And here is the rest of it.
