Birthday Obsession

Because its my 24th birthday today I thought I would post
my current favourite song, since music is such a love in my
life, I always play it while Im getting dressed in the morning,
updating a blog post or getting ready for a night out. I seem
to become rather addicted to a song and once its taken hold
of me, I will play it over and over again, almost like a chant.
One thing for sure is that once Ive found a song I love, it stays
with me forever and this beautiful Australian artist has mystified
me, her name is Bertie Blackman and I dare you to listen to the
WHOLE song and not wan't to play it again ;)

FASHION/ Monday Random Snaps

Todays Monday random snaps are dedicated to some of my
favourite black and white fashion photographs. With the
passing of the wonderful Michael Jackson, I thought that this
theme would suit the mourning that so many people around
the world are feeling for him at the moment. I have to say
that looking at these wonderful black and white photographs
also reignites my love for photography.

Even though it is freeezing here in Australia, I cant help but
admire some of the beautiful summery pieces from the cruise
collections. Some of my favourites this season are the iconic
Alexander Wang and the wonderfully dreamy Stella McCartney.

FASHION/ Sunday Random Snaps

This Sundays random snaps is dedicated to the theme of hats.
Big warm furry hats for winter, small sparkly ones for a night
out or a large rimmed hat for summer. Any weather, any time
of day, a hat is always a lovely addition to most outfits, except
maybe the fluro baseball hat from the 1980s. The following

MUSIC/ Cat Power

Some of the most inspiring style icons for me, have come from

her blunt fringe, simple clothing, natural makeup and the beautiful

FASHION/ My Grand Social Top 5

I was recently asked by a fantastic online fashion store called
The Grand Social, to pick my five favourite items on their
website and write my little thoughts on them. It was hard to
pick just five, but I disciplined myself and chose five

INTERIOR/ Nature Lust

The new place Ive moved into has a beautiful large upstairs
area, where I plan to grow a little garden. I have been looking
at lots of websites and in terms of great plant set ups, I have
to say the Selby has some great ideas. Plants not only
improve the quality of the air, but I think they add a bit of
positivity to your day to :) Here are some of my favourite
plant inspirations from the Selby for the house.

Finally I have moved it and set up everything in the new house,
my new study has a brand new table and I'm secretly craving a
new apple for... for inspiration, it feels so good and so much
more inspiring and light in the new place :) Now on to the
blogging, this Sunday random snaps is dedicated to glamor,
maybe it is the cold grey weather out there, but I have noticed
that I have been collecting a lot of gold, shiny, elegant,
extravagant images. Hopefully it will inspire a little glamor in
all of our lives, even if its just in the imagination for the moment ;)
